Hospital performance

In February 2003 MMCC lauched a new activity: performances for children in hospitals.

The first was in the Indragandy hospital where 35 children and many family members attended the show. The performance was done in the ward where the children couldn’t move, with children coming over from other wards.

The show was a puppet comedy about health issues. Many of the children come from areas with no TV or other entertainment, and MMCC had to start the performance with explaining what a puppet show is.

It was touching to see the stinky hospital room full of pain and sorrow changed to a place of laughter, music and happy children. At the end of the program MMCC had to give some of the puppets away. The children simply wouldn’t let the performers go away with them.
