Mobile performances for half a million children

With a recent visit in Kandahar the mobile artists have now reached 16 provinces and more than 500,000 children with MMCC’s educational entertaining activities since 2003.

The workshop and performances in Kandahar were conducted in cooperation with UNAMA’s human rights section. It was the first time MMCC performed in the Southern region of Afghanistan. The feedback from the local community was very positive.

MMCC’s mobile performances are a mix of pure entertaining such as comedy, magic and circus plus one or two educational performance pieces. This year the mobile artists tour with educational performance pieces about Landmine Awareness, the importance of studying (Back to School) and Hand washing/Diarrhea Prevention.
