23-24th of July 2006 – Japan here we come

Finally, after many weeks of preparation, excitement and counting down, it is time for take off. The next six weeks the children will be in Japan

A few days before the departure all children went shopping to get new private cloth for the tour. While packing the backpacks the tour gradually became more and more real – and the excitement bigger and bigger…

Organizing a tour abroad includes so many things besides preparing the performance. The Japan tour practically has been part of MMCC’s program since the 13 children were chosen for the tour in the early spring. Among this the children’s parents have been invited to MMCC to learn about the tour and give their approval.

Besides the private backpacks the group is bringing 7 big boxes and bags with equipment for the performances and workshops in Japan

All the children’s families and friends in MMCC went to say goodbye in Kabul airport. All together more than 100 people were in the two mini-busses that were rented to take them there.
From Kabul the children went by a UN flight to Islamabad. Here they spent the five hours waiting time to visit the big and famous Faizal Mosque before they continued to Narita Airport outside Tokyo

Last year NoorShah (left) was one of the children that went to Europe. When he was sitting in his first flight ever, he looked scared out of the window and said: ‘Something is wrong with the flight – the wings doesn’t move’.
Getting the chance to go abroad teaches the children many new things. Among those…. That wings don’t need to move to provide a safe flight
